Indiaist is an independent website that helps travellers and professionals with Indian Railway time tables, PNR status guidance and Indian Standard Time (IST) tools. We are not affiliated with Indian Railways, IRCTC or the Government of India.
What Indiaist Offers
We built Indiaist to make two everyday tasks simpler: planning a train journey in India and working across time zones with India.

- PNR status help: plain-language explanations of ticket codes like CNF, RAC and WL, with links to the official places to check your live status.
- Time tools: a live Indian Standard Time clock and converters for IST to EST, PST, UTC and other time zones.
Our goal is to give clear, practical information that saves you time, and to point you to official sources when you need to confirm details.
How We Collect and Update Information
Train timings, routes and booking rules change often, so we treat every page as something that needs regular checking.
- We compile our train information from sources published by Indian Railways, IRCTC and the National Train Enquiry System (NTES).
- Our time tools follow the standard rules for IST (UTC+5:30) and for daylight saving changes in other countries.
- Important pages show a Last updated date so you can see how recent the information is.
- We review our most visited pages [every month / every quarter] and update them when official information changes.
